I was a little disappointed, the backboard is pretty thin and the support bars that go from the pole to the plastic base and the screw-holes in the base themselves seem like they could easily break with time. I only paid $179 through Amazon directly, with no shipping charge . . . so for that price, I feel it was a good enough deal. If my son continues to play bball, I will upgrade to a much more study setup.

I don't often review products simply due to time but I have to get the word out about this goal. First off, this is a great portable goal. It's well built, the frame is solid, backboard is solid, the base once filled with 500lbs of sand is solid. My kids love this goal. All around, its great and it would have received 5 stars had it not been for the installation instructions.

I bought this backboard to replace a backboard on a mid-level Lifetime portable basketball goal. Not looking to sink alot into a unit that has a fair amount of time on it already. The holes, mounting hardware, etc. lined up nicely so replacement was enjoyable. You do need another set of hands to put this unit on though. For the money, it's a great value.
